Dell T410

I am checking at the T4100 spec and seeing there is a limit for hd in 4TB each.
That is a real limit ? I am going to use all the six hd slots with hd of 24tb.

Hello, user_84ef16. Happy New Year to you- could you point that out where you are seeing that information? Do you have a link of the specification?

Respectfully,

Hello,

You are correct. The spec sheet shows up to 18TB storage and hard drive 4TB capacity, but it will be based on the specific RAID controller you have installed.

I'm not confident that there is an 18TB limit, in regards to an H700 controller.

Whereas, the 4TB drive is the largest capacity drive I see in the T410 validated hard drives database.

I will note The PERC H700 does Not support 4kn drives (must be 512e). The PERC9s were the first to support 4Kn(H730, H330, H830, etc).

If you want to try a 24TB, I would recommend only getting one to start with and test.
