Avago EFI SAS Driver Screen
We have a Dell PowerEdge R740xd server and we use it as a db. This is the node of a cluster.
The node is down and whenever we try to add it to the cluster again, it goes down again and the Avago EFI SAS Driver screen appears.
We sometimes exit by entering any letter from here and come to the os screen.Bios, firmware and raid version were gradually upgraded. Power drain, light control and power cable checks were made. The Perc card was reassembled, but we did not disassemble or replace anything else. There are no obvious errors in the tsr and sel logs. We did a hardware diagnostic test in Lifecycle and it showed nothing.UEFI0116 One or more boot drivers have reported issue(s). Only this error was received. There is no problem with voltages and psu. For the record other devices were of the same version and the same raid setting, and there was no problem with them.
I want to make a discard preserved cache, but there is no suggestion button active that I can choose. Some users found it in the controller configuration in idrac, I cannot select it in the Lifecycle Controller board and I cannot find it in idrac either. How can I find it?
Do you have any other suggestions?
pics is attached - i want to find this option in my idrac

Klzb,
The option may not be selectable in the iDrac due to it not have any preserved cache to clear, you have a foreign configuration on the controller, or there is a degraded Virtual Disk. You can access the controller BIOS (ctrl-r at bootup) and then follow the steps on the bottom of page 62 here to clear it.. Now if one of the above things are true then you won't want to clear the preserved data.
Let me know how it goes and if this helps.

Hello,
While you mentioned no foreign configuration was made, it is possible for configurations to become corrupted over time. This can happen due to various reasons, including firmware updates or hardware changes.
The small amount of swap usage you noticed is generally not a cause for concern, but it's good to monitor it. Ensure that your system has adequate physical memory and that swap usage does not increase significantly over time.
Thanks
