Add Disk to RAID 5 Perc H730
I have installed a new Identical drive and want to add it to my RAID 5.
There are now 6 disks (1 new)
2 are RAID 1 as a boot drive and 3 as a RAID 5 Data area.
There are 3 Virtual disks showing. Virtual Disk 0 RAID1 1.2TB
Virtual Disk 1 RAID5 1.85TB
Virtual Disk 2 RAID5 391TB (using the same disks as Virtual Disk 1) - Don't think VD 2 is used.
I need to expand Virtual Disk 1 by adding the new Disk but 6 but I don't get an option to "Reconfigure"
Do I need to remove Virtual disk 2?? first?

Yes, you need to remove VD2 first. You cant expand a Diskgroup with 2 or more VDs on it.

That worked - thanks.
I've now hit the 2TB limit and need to convert it from MBR to GPT.
Unfortunately it is a 2012 R2 server so I am intending to use Easeus Partition Manager.
It is a data drive but hosts 2 Hyper V 2012 R2 Servers. I presume converting this while there is no activity will be ok without data loss?

Hello,
"I presume converting this while there is no activity will be ok without data loss?" "I am intending to use Easeus Partition Manager."
so I say at this point it's best you go to Easeus to ask that question,
but regardless it is a common sense to have a backup in place.
Respectfully,
