Why reboot twice after Patch Tuesday? R340

My R340, with Win 2022 installed, every patch Tuesday, it needs to reboot twice.  Its been doing this since day one (2022), every month.  No other Dell I own does this, so why the server?   Standard Dell hardware, nothing unusual installed.   No harm comes from this, but it would be nice to know.

Hello,

which updates cause double restart? From log do you see some errors or information?

Thanks

Which ones?  All of them, every month, like clock work.   Using iDrac I can see it has no faults or warnings, Every month, as the update does its reboot, the server gets to the end on the BIOS (UEFI) boot part, then a few seconds of darkness - maybe even a bit of loading Windows we can't see. And then a new boot starts from scratch.  That one succeeds, and all is fine and well.  Clearly something in the OS or the BIOS wants the double boot.  If I trigger a boot myself, no double boot - just the patch Tuesday ones do it.

That is weird but sounds like something related to OS.

BIOS is up to date?

Can you try to force the updates to delay and see what happens?

If the OS is bought with the server you can call technical support to better investigate.

Thanks
