TPM information missing or getting TPM failure

Have you gotten a TPM failure or TPM information missing recently?  Here are some steps that you can do to resolve your issue.

THIS WILLL REQUIRESYSTEM DOWNTIME

  1. Place the host into Maintenance Mode and then reboot the system. While the system is rebooting, press F2 to enter the System Setup menu (BIOS) and select System BIOS.

  1. Scroll down and choose ‘System Security.’

  1. Select "TPM Advanced settings"

  1. Set TPM2 Algorithm Selection to SHA256 and click Back

  1. Set Intel TXT to On

  1. Scroll down and enable Secure Boot (click OK at the pop up asking you to set a BIOS password)

    1. Click Back to return to the main System BIOS, then click Finish and click Yes to save changes

    1. Click Finish in the System Setup Menu, and confirm Yes to exit and reboot. Upon the next boot, you should see a message indicating that Secure Boot has been modified. No further action is required.

     9. After it returns to vCenter, navigate to the host and clear the ‘Host TPM attestation alarm’ alert by clicking ‘Reset to Green.’ Finally, exit Maintenance Mode.
