R740XD NVMe Expansion Card
Hello,
I recently purchased a Dell PowerEdge R740XD server and I’m looking to expand its NVMe storage capabilities. Could someone please help me identify the correct dell P/N for supported NVMe expansion kits for this model? I would like to know which Dell NVMe expansion backplanes are compatible with the R740XD
Additionally, my backplane P/N is P1JM3

Hello, I'm hesitant to answer this- I could give you all the part#s that I can get a hold of just to answer your question, however, it doesn't mean that "this conversion" is going to work. Basically, if you turn to NVMe it means you have to say goodbye to PERC. We do not have a conversion kit.
The only option I could think of is that you find the same server but with the NVMe and match the build sheets, however it's hard to believe that Sales still has offer for this as this is quite an old system.
