R730 compatibility with NVidia A30
Dear Dell,
I would like to install an NVidia A30 in an R730 8LFF.
I have two 1100W PSU units and I configured them as non-redundant.
When I connect the A30 GPU with the power cables I have, I get a "PSU0036 Over current error".
The error is transient and disappears once the GPU is removed and the error is cleared.
Would you please let me know the kind and configuration of power cables I need to operate the A30 GPU?
Is one ESP power cable going from the PCI riser to the GPU sufficient?
Do I need a Y-cable picking up power from both risers to the GPU?
Does the J_BP0 Backplane power connector needs to be involved at all?
The A30 card is rated at 165W max.
Thanks

Young E. - Thanks for your reply.
I've examined both threads and it appears that, while the A30 is not officially supported on the R730, customers were able to run a similar card (A100) using custom power cables that they made.
I am determined to proceed in the same direction.
I am definitely motivated to run my A30 on my R730 even if I need to wire my own power cables.
It would be however a lot more practical if Dell were able to recommend a cable that worked, even without official support.
Would you be able to do that?
What are specs of cables that work with the A30 card on more recent Dell Servers? Thanks
