R640 IDRAC Initializing and not work
After the idrac firmware update to latest release, idrac can not access anymore, it fails with the INITIAZING and not ping to the idrac IP.
We rebooted the system and no change.

Hello,
I'm sorry to see the iDRAC is failing with INITIAZING.
Try these steps and check results and let us know the results:
drain flea power (shut down, disconnect power cables and Network cables, hold in power button 20 seconds with cords removed). After flea power drain, system has to set for 3 minutes for DRAC to reset without any power plugged in, then plug in NIC and power but wait 2 minutes before power on to give DRAC time to initialize.
Check results
Clear NVRAM - there is a map under the lid to show the jumper location. Shut down, Set jumper to the Clear position, power on and Post up to the jumper error, shut down and return jumper to original location.
Check results

Hi, RAID configurations are stored on the RAID controller, not in the system BIOS or NVRAM. So RAID configurations should remain intact after an NVRAM clear, as long as the controller itself is not reset or reconfigured.

@DELL-Charles R Hello, I did the "drain flea power" process in the same way, but nothing changed. I will "clear nvram" in a later time. The server is a production server. Will there be any problems with its operation when it restarts? Regards

Hello,
When doing the NVRAM clear you may need to reset any custom BIOS configurations such as Boot Order, Boot Mode, iDRAC settings.
Any settings you have made that are not the Default will need to be reconfigured.

@DELL-Charles R There are some defined raid configurations, I think they will not be corrupt, is that correct? Regards
