I see the XE8545 only supports up to Ubuntu Server 22.04 LTS

Your PowerEdge XE8545 supports these operating systems:

Ubuntu Server 22.04 LTS

VMware ESXi 7.0

I would also recommend to make sure your BIOS and iDRAC are up to date.

I notice iDRAC 4.40.40.151 has fix for:

Added Nvidia A100 GPU management support for PoweEdge XE8545.

Added Nvidia A100 GPU over temperature protection for PowerEdge XE8545.

 

What is the current firmware level you are on?

I cannot find any reference to the GPU firmware on the PowerEdge XE8545 support page

I have been advised that you should call into Support on XE systems and work with a technician.

They have information we don't have in the forum for those systems.
