PowerEdge FN 410T I can’t set the IP address
Hello!
There is a Dell PowerEdge FX2s chassis.
One of the Dell PowerEdge FN 410T IOA controllers does not allow me to set an IP address through the settings.
The window for entering network settings is activated for a couple of seconds, then turns gray.
Previously there was a Boot filed error.
Now the module state is "Normal"
Please tell me how to solve this problem?
Most likely, one of the options is to use a USB to COM cable (DB9) to reset the module settings.
Best Regards,
Max.

Hello,
You can connect to the FN IOA switch module via console connection through the chassis and check the health of the module and whether for example it is rebooting and hence turning gray.
If you open a putty session to the chassis management address, you can connect to the IOM module from the command line of the chassis using command for example:
connect switch-1
While connected to the switch, you can check the status of the management interface, to make sure it is in UP state, and should be able to set an IP address via CLI:
#show interfaces status
#show interfaces managementethernet 0/0
#config
Int managementethernet 0/0
Ip address ….
Once connected to the switch via console connection, you can also check the iom-mode on the switch, because some modes do not allow changes, even though management ip address should be allowed to change in any mode.
# show stack-unit 0 iom-mode
Full switch mode allows the most changes:
Dell(conf)#stack-unit 0 iom-mode full-switch

Hello,
As I can see from page 5 on document(Dell PowerEdge FN I/O Module (FN IOM) – Easy Deployment Guide) you can use below command:

Hello!
Thank you for your answer.
If you enter the command connect switch-1 the terminal simply freezes.
But, at the same time, the second switch, if you enter the command connect switch-2, successfully connects.
I connected to the first module via a USB console cable, then DB9.
Please tell me
1.How to reset the first switch settings via the CLI?
2.Reinstall the FN410T module software?
Best Regards,
Max
