need part number for dell poweredge r720 cdrom/dvd drive cable
My r720 didn't come with a cdrom/dvd drive and I can't find the power/data cable inside the chassis.
I'm thinking about purchasing one of the below adapter trays
HIGHFINE Universal 9.5mm SATA to SATA 2nd SSD HDD Hard Drive Caddy Adapter

The optical drive cables are different, based on if the server takes 2.5in drives or 3.5inch drives.
For the 3.5in drive chassis you would need part F6HJD
For the 2.5in drive chassis you would need part G8TXP (power) and part M5CKF (SATA).
Now for the rest of it, it isn't a supported configuration, so I wouldn't be able to confirm if it would work or not.

@DELL-Chris H Hi Chris and thanks for the reply.
I have the r720 with 8 3.5" drives. I did a search for dell poweredge r720 optical drive cable F6HJD, the power/data connector to the adapter tray is one connection and split out to separate power and data connections. where on the motherboard do I connect the power and data? are they labeled? thanks again
