How to upgrade PowerEdge T430 Main Server Chassis
If there is a Dell PowerEdge T430 Main Server Chassis server mentioned above, with the following configuration: CPU is Intel Xeon E5-2620 v4 @ 2.10GHz with eight cores; the motherboard is Dell 0KX11M (Wellsburg); memory is 16 GB (Hynix DDR4 2400MHz 16GB); the hard disk is Dell PERC H330 Adp (268 GB); the graphics card is Matrox Microsoft Basic Display Adapter (Dell); the monitor is a generic non-plug-and-play monitor; the optical drive is PLDS DVD+-RW DH-16AES DVD burner. If you want to upgrade the server's performance based on the existing configuration to meet the needs of simulation that requires a large amount of computation, how can the server be updated and upgraded? Please provide me with several options for reference, including but not limited to updating and upgrading some hardware, replacing the whole machine, and purchasing a new server. Please give reasonable plans based on market prices and related configurations.
Thank you very much!

Upgrading a 10Y old server isnt a good idea. Even memory and disks, and these are most of the time the one and only SKU dell offers makes only sense in the first years.
Youre totally on your own.
Dell 13rd. Gen are the oldest one in the Firmware update catalog and i am pretty sure they will drop them within 1-2 years like all previous version.
Hardware is one thing... what kind of software will you run on top?

@Origin3k Thank you for your answer. I'll be running FDTD and finite element simulations on my server, but if so, what kind of hardware upgrades can I make? Do you have any good plans and suggestions? Thank you very much!
