How can I find out if my Dell Poweredge R630 has a RAID controller?

I have several R630's in my DC and I want to see if they have an active RAID controllers. I realise that I can go to the DC and attach a console and then open the iDrac but would prefer to be able to do it remotely without having to restart the machines. Is this possible or is there an online tool where I can check using the serial numbers?

  1. If you visit https://dell.com/support you can enter the STAG of a system and than on the upper right is "System configuration" which will show how the system leave the factory
  2. Because you have more than one Server... consider to setup OME which than can give you reports about the devices you just show the hardware inventory of a given device
  3. Hmm.... if you loop around a "racadm.exe" system call iam pretty sure that there will be a property about the controller which is in the server because you can modify RAID related settings through the iDRAC and racadm.
