Help!!!
Hello, I hope you're all doing well.
I would like to request assistance with an error I'm encountering.
I have a PowerEdge R740xd and I'm trying to set up an NVMe configuration. However, when I install the PCIe expansion card with part number 0CDC7W, the following message appears:
Swapping the card does not solve the issue, as I have tried six different cards with the same part number and all of them present the same error.
The only exception is when I change the expansion controller's part number to 0W0DNK — in that case, it works.
Could anyone provide me with the firmware version for the controller with part number 0CDC7W?
I haven't been able to find it anywhere on Dell's websites.

Hello,
Part #:W0DNK
Part Desc.:PWA,CTL,PCIE,EXTDR,ADPT,740N24
Subs.:YN9K8
Part #:CDC7W
Part Desc.:PWA,CTL,PCIE,EXTDR,14G,LP,V2
These aren't interchangeable.
You asked for the firmware for CDC7W, but that's not what's going to get the server running. What you need to do is get a substitute such as YN9K8 that I mentioned above.
Respectfully,
