Help With A Dell Emc poweredge R830
I got a pallet of dell servers mostly quad core but the two dual cores I'm going to use for my company, but when i went to use them, one has no video which isn't a problem due to me using the command IDRAC and remote desktop but i went to log into the IDRAC and its not root calvin, is there a different default password now and I'm just dumb or is there something going on with the place i got them from. i tried to factory reset it but there is no way to if i cant get video and i cant log into IDRAC, i tried to hold the i button for 30 seconds and i turned off but it was still not root calvin. I may be stupid but i need help.

none of the above are a solution for me however he is currently unavailable any other moderators I can send the tag to that can help

Hello,
The default iDRAC password should be on a pull out tab on the front of the server on the lower edge of the control panel.
Do you know the history of the system? Was it surplus because it was broken?
Do you see any damage to the VGA port? Have you tried different monitor and different cable?

You may also try Clear NVRAM - there is a map under the lid to show the jumper location. Shut down, Set jumper to the Clear position, power on and let POST complete , shut down and return jumper to original location.
Check results.
I would recommend to make sure the service tag is in your name with the Ownership Transfer form..
