Help Identifying Dell Part Number XPXCG – Unknown Use or Compatibility

Hi everyone,

I recently came across a Dell part with the identifier XPXCG. I’ve searched online and even tried looking it up in Dell’s official parts catalog, but I haven’t been able to find any clear information about:

  • What component this part number refers to (e.g., network adapter, internal card, etc.)

  • Which Dell system(s) it's compatible with

  • Whether it’s still in use or has been replaced/retired

I’d really appreciate it if anyone from the community (or Dell reps) could help shed some light on this.

Context:

  • This part was included in a batch of Dell components I acquired.

  • Unfortunately, there’s no packaging or description—just the part number printed on it.

  • I'm trying to verify if it's useful for resale, repair, or spare inventory.

If anyone knows where XPXCG is used or can point me to a resource to look it up, that would be awesome!

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

I've been researched it. You are right there is not much info about it. I found below part description:

XPXCG
ASSY,CRD,PCIE,FH,AVA,X4
Controller Card, PCIeAssembly AVAYA CARD (CIRCUIT) FULL HEIGHT PERIPHERAL COMPONENT INTERCONNECT EXPRESS

I think it may have been OEM’d for Dell by AVAYA

Hope that helps!

@DELL-Erman O

Thank you for looking into this and providing the initial breakdown of part XPXCG. That already helps a lot!

I’d like to ask for a bit more clarification so I can better understand its intended use and potential value:

  1. Which specific Dell systems (servers, workstations, or telecom units) was this card originally shipped with?
  2. Is it associated with any Avaya product line (e.g., IP Office, media gateways, etc.)?
  3. Do you have any insight on its functionality — is it a network card, controller for telecom hardware, or something else?
  4. Is it still supported by Dell or considered end-of-life?
  5. Any known Dell part substitutes or equivalents?

I’m evaluating this for potential resale or reuse, so any technical specs, system compatibility, or documentation would be really helpful.

Hello,

I'm sorry don't have any more information than Erman was able to find.

From the description he posted it is a PCIe Assembly card but no information what it supports.
