Error updating BIOS on R740 server
Good afternoon! When updating the BIOS of a Dell PowerEdge R740 server with a file from the official website via iDrac, I encountered a problem where the BIOS may have been updated incorrectly, and the server is stuck in a constant reboot loop.
There was an official article
https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/ru-rs/000115696/poweredge-how-to-recover-from-a-corrupt-or-interrupted-bios-update
But now this article is unavailable and displays a 404 error
What should I do and how can I solve the problem now that the useful article on the official Dell website is no longer available?
I think that in this way you are pushing corporate users to purchase paid technical support, when the problem could have been solved by a competent specialist reading the official documentation, and this makes me think that next time I will not buy corporate devices from Dell.

Hello,
What was the problem that made the update run incorrectly?
Try these steps in order listed and check results:
*RollBack\recover
*Drain flea
*Clear NVRAM
*Cancel LCC actions
RollBack:
Check in Maintenance section of the iDRAC for a RollBack option and try roll back the BIOS.
Check results
drain flea power (shut down, disconnect power cables and Network cables, hold in power button 20 seconds with cords removed).
After flea power drain, system has to set for 3 minutes for DRAC to reset without any power plugged in.
Then plug in NIC and power but wait 2 minutes before power on to give DRAC time to initialize.
Check if it POST normally
Clear NVRAM - there is a map under the lid to show the jumper location. Shut down, Set jumper to the Clear position, power on and Post up to the jumper error, shut down and return jumper to original location.
Check if it POST normally
Cancel LCC actions:
-boot to F2 -> System Setup -> iDRAC Settings -> Lifecycle Controller to check status
-Choose: Lifecycle Controller set to Enabled
-Collect System Inventory on Restart set to Enabled.
-Cancel Lifecycle Controller Actions set to Yes. This is a one-time flag not a permanent setting.
Check if it POST normally
