DP/N 078R95 (15.36TB Micron NVMe 9300 Pro) Drives not showing up in iDRAC
I have a Dell R750 with DP/N drives (078R95) these are 15.36TB Micron NVMe 9300 Pro Drives. These should be supported on the R750 according to some data sheets which mention that the 15.36TB drives are supported and are special order only. The maximum capacity on all data sheets is also calculated with 24x 15.36TBs (368.64 TBs). Usually dell drives show up in the storage tab on idrac 9s but these do not show up there and can only be seen in the pcie tab. I am also unable to get the correct firmware update for these. Anyone running these and know more please help.

Hello,
You are correct that that part number shows DSS only. (Datacenter Scalable Solutions). I have not found what Solution that refers to.
If you are on OS WS2016-WS2022 try OMSA to see the NVMe drives:
Dell OpenManage Server Administrator (OMSA) Managed Node for Windows, v10.3.0.0

@DELL-Charles R We are in a linux only environment is there some other solution? Also does Dell have updates for these drives? Potentially something I can download and update via iDrac. I know the non Dell branded ones have recommended updates.
Thanks

Hello,
The part that you are using
Part #:78R95
Part Desc.:SSDR,15.3T,NVME,2.5,9300,PRO,Z
Is DSS Only. (Dell Scalable Solutions). It is not supposed to be seen, working per design.
Let us know if you have any questions.

Hello,
You can get OMSA for Linux.
On the link below - Filer by OS and use search term 'node' to find the Linux version of OMSA.
