DELL PowerEdge R720 iDRAC license recovering

Hello,

I've got question about recovering iDRAC 7 licesnse on PowerEdge R720?

It used to have Enterprise license but after motherboard died I bought new one and it was replaced but there is no iDRAC license on new one. Recovering license from old motherboard was imposible due even idrac was not accessible. I've checked Digital Locker but there is no any entry for that server with my service tag.

Your old iDrac license would be useless when after the replacement of your systemboard the technican doesnt have set your old STAG back.

So the question is ... is the STAG the old one or is it a different one?

About digital locker.... it wasnt there from the beginning and for sure it comes late depending on the region where youre located.

I'm a Dell reseller and we have sold 11 and 12Gen Hosts like your R720 and fore sure it was not common for 11Gen and i have my doubt for 12 as well.

If your iDRAC license ships together with your hosts you can validate on  dell.com/support. After enter your original STAG you can view the product properties and how it left the factory. Look for iDRAC Enterprise.

I purchase motherboard with installation option so basically it's done by technician. I see that in iDRAC there is  original Service Tag like in sticker on case.

EDIT: I've checked at DELL support and I see that there is iDRAC component at product specification.

Ok... than we need one of the Dell Mods from that forum which than can validate your STAG and there is a small chance that he than will trigger sending the license from digital locker again.
