Could not update the BIOS of Dell PowerEdge 1850 Server!

Hi,

 

I have a Dell PowerEdge 1850 server which was originally used as a McAfee Security Appliance

 

The BIOS firmware version is A06

 

When the server boots up , it shows McAfee Splash screen as part of the POST startup sequence with A06 as the version

 

I wanted to upgrade the BIOS of this server using the latest Dell firmware and when I booted the server from the floppy disk it could not do that saying "cannot update the BIOS of a mcAfee appliance" ?

 

Is there any read/write switch for that operation to be enabled?
