Bricked idrac on dell poweredge T620
I updated the idrac via the online interface from 1.40 to the newest 2.65 is there any way to fix this?

user_6939cd,
Would you clarify some details for me?
What specifically are you seeing on boot?
What is the current version of the BIOS, did you happen to update it before the idrac?
What specific errors are you seeing, and do you also see any amber lights?
Lastly, what steps have you done to try to resolve the issue?
Let me know and we can go from there.

@DELL-Chris H
It says: Alert! Idrac not responding rebooting
then the fans go crazy
it tries again to communicate with idrac and fails but now attempts to boot just with crazy fans
it also complains about not having idrac at every step
I do see my drive lights blinking but the led display and button are both dead
bios ver: 1.5.3

Hello,
Try these steps and check results:
drain flea power (shut down, disconnect power cables and Network cables, hold in power button 20 seconds with cords removed). After flea power drain, system has to set for 3 minutes for DRAC to reset without any power plugged in, then plug in NIC and power but wait 2 minutes before power on to give DRAC time to initialize.
Check results
Clear NVRAM - there is a map under the lid to show the jumper location. Shut down, Set jumper to the Clear position, power on and Post up to the jumper error, shut down and return jumper to original location.
Check results
Minimum to post (If successful POST, put things back a little at a time until find faulting component)
The minimum components to allow the PowerEdge T620 to complete POST are:
*System Board
*CPU1 with heat sink (minimum for troubleshooting)
*Single DIMM configuration with DIMM in socket A1
*Control Panel with cable (to power system on)
*PSU (and for redundant PSU also the PDB/PIB)
Remove anything not on that list: DVD, Hard drives, PERC controller, backplane, network card, NIC cable, any pcie cards, keyboard, mouse, USB devices, …. anything not on the list remove.
If it does not POST without error, then the issue is with one of those components.
If you get successful POST, put things back a little at a time until you find the faulting component.

Hello, if the suggestions above didn't help, I think it may be the time you consider replacing the board. You can officially raise a ticket through Contact Technical Support | Dell US
