BOSS-S2 and Dell R640

Hello.  Is the BOSS-S2 compatible with the R640?  I see the S1 is, but can't find anything regarding the S2 so I thought to ask here.

If not, is the S1 the only BOSS card compatible with the R640?

Hello could you please check out page 8?

Looks like "Boot Optimized Server Storage-S1(BOSS-S1)" works with this.

Respectfully,

Boss-S2 comes first for AMD based R6525 and R7525 followed by Rx50 which where the Intel armada. All of them are 15.Gen PowerEdge.

@Origin3k I take that as a no then?  Sorry, i'm terrible with servers.  Just got my hands on a R640 that i'm going to use to lab, and was curious about the S2.  Is the S1 my only choice or are there any other options?

@MichaelMastro

Ah Sorry!

I thought you where more familar with the Dell PowerEdge generations. Your Rx4x is a 14.Gen one which mean Boss-S1 only.

What kind of Controller (PERC) is already in? For what purpose you need the BOSS?

Regards,

Joerg
