Bios Update on Server without Floppy Disc.

My Server does not have a floppy drive, but procedure for upgrade requires floppy disks.  Do I use a floppy drive connected to USBand configured to boot or is there another way?

You could use a bootable USB key...

Which server model do you have?

Several of the newer servers have bios updates available that can be run from within the OS (Windows only I think) and then just require a reboot.

A USB Floppy drive should work.  I just used one to flash the bios on a 2850, an dit worked jsut fine.  had to make a few changes in the bios though, since there was no floppy drive installed.:smileyindifferent:

Thank you to all the responses.  It looks to me like the USB floppy is the easiest way to go.
