Battery Needs Reconditioning

Hi,

I am currently running windows 2000 server on a dell poweredge 4400 and it recently came up with the following error

 

\Device\AFAO : Controller battery needs reconditioning

 

Could someone please reply with a possible solution

If I remember correctly, you can recondition the battery from the raid controller setup on boot. However, in my particular instance this did not solve the problem. A new RAID controller was needed.

Install Array Manager (if not installed) and you have the option to condition the battery.  This is a normal error ond typically occurs every 6 months.
