What are the iDrac defaults for Temperature alerting?
Hi,
I have a bunch of servesr that all seem to have different thresholds for Temp Alerting for the System Board Inlet Temp. I'm trying to figure out which ones are the defaults and which ones have been changed so I can set them all to the same limit.
I have R640s and R430s and have thresholds of 38, 40, and 42 between them. If anyone can point me to where I can find what the settings should be, that'd be great.
Thanks!

Hello, this may help. This was all I could find.

That link just tells me how to change the number. I already know how to change it. I'm trying to figure out why I have servers of the same model that have different numbers and what the Default value should be.

Hello,
You have 14th gen. R640 (iDRAC9) and 13th gen. R430 (iDRAC8) iDRACs so they may be different.
You could reset the DRAC to Defaults and check the default settings:
racadm racresetcfg
You will need to reconfigure the DRAC any custom settings you have made.

Is there a way to just reset the Temperature settings without wiping the entire iDrac? DO you have something in a lab that you can check the settings on to see what they are out of the box?

Hello,
I don't know a command to reset just the temperature settings.
I did check on the Users guides that has some defaults listed:
thermal settings using iDRAC9 Page 65

thermal settings using iDRAC8 Page 51

@DELL-Charles R Those only list the Defaults for the Exhaust air flow. My alerts were for the Inlet Air Temp, which it doesn't seem to list any defaults for that I can see.
Ah well.
