T620 PDU ports

Is there a diagram listing options for the T620 PDU? I am needing to add a few more sata power connectors (this is a non spec setup, and honestly I am not looking for a response saying this is against order spec. the unit's service expired back in 2015 and this is a homelab environment.)

I am thinking about getting the T630's gpu enablement kit and use a 12v to 5v converter to get the power some how, but what I am mainly concerned with is if the 16x SFF backplane distributes the 3x sata power and I've added a 4x LFF cage to the 3x5.25" bays, I don't want to overload the power from the sff backplane.

My T620 has dual 1100w psu's, the extra 4x fan gantry, will have 16x sff drives, 4x lff drives and 2x sata ssd's, If I can power it all.

Thank you for any replies.

Hi,

Unfortunately we don't have the PDB/PDU schematics for your reference. I'm unsure of your server's configuration, but if you would refer to the user guide: https://dell.to/37I8HZx page 93, there is standard cabling for each different types of backplanes. From where I can see from the user guide, the PDB/PDU has only 2 output connectors for the backplanes.

Let me know if it helps.
