Stopping iDRAC Reporting "Power supply redundancy is lost" as I have moved from 2 PSUs to one.
I have 3 R7515 servers in a homelab configuration running off one circuit, so having two PSUs plugged in is kind of pointless. However IDRAC reports that power redundancy has been lost.
I did the whole plug in the second power supply then unplug the cable of the first one then second which resets it (searched online). But we had a power failure the other night, and now all 3 servers are throwing the error again. Is there a way to stop IDRAC from expecting the second PSU?
Will resetting idrac and all settings do it? I'm using group manager too - does that change things?

Looks like resetting idrac might be a way to go. PITA though as I have to re-apply settings.

Hello, thanks for visiting our online forum.
My humble opinion- ""having two PSUs plugged in is kind of pointless" I don't quite agree with this.
The point is - redundancy. Not from power loss, but from PSU failure.
If there is 2 PSUs and 1 disconnected it will report it. If you not need 2 remove one, but you have to use blank cover which you may not have, so you can keep unused PSU as a filler, you can just keep it in the slot but do not insert it all the way.
Respectfully,
