PowerEdge 1900 No Power
Hi,
I have a PowerEdge 1900 that did not power on after a power outage. There are no lights available on the LCD panel or the motherboard and fans are not running.
I purchased the same model of the power unit and replaced the old one. When I turn the server on, there is a flashing green light on the motherboard accompanied by a flashing amber on the LCD panel. The server still does not power on and fans are not running.
Anyone knows what the flashing light indicates? Is the new power unit bad or there is another issue I need to look for on the PowerEdge?
Any help is appreciated.
Thank you

Hello
If it was doing nothing prior to replacing the power supply unit then it sounds like the old PSU was faulty, it is at least doing something now. More than one component may have been damaged in the event. You will need to continue replacing hardware until all damaged/faulty hardware is replaced.
It would be best to take the system down to minimum to POST to reduce the possible points of failure.
Thanks

Hi, my client has a PowerEdge 1900 that has a similar problem. However, the light on the power button is lit up as well as a blue LED is lit in the back. However, we cannot power it up as usual and cannot hear the familiar noise the fans make. Since the server is out of warranty, what can we do to find the replacement parts? Sure appreciate any helps you can offer.

Hi, thanks for choosing Dell. I say it's time we try minimum to post. Please see this old thread here for that.
