Oscillating Power Supply Redundancy R730
I have three Dell R730 servers (all identical) and I recently upgraded the memory on each from 128 GB to 640 GB. Two of them work fine. The third one is functional but the front panel constantly oscillates between Normal (blue) and "RD0012 PSU Redundancy is lost". IDRAC logs show the same constantly changing messages - "The power supplies are redundant" and "Power supply redundancy is lost". I have tried switching the power cables to no use. I found a similar issue discussed on the forum here
I plan to update my firmware and test the solution mentioned in the link. However, all three nodes are identical (purchased together) and the other two show no issues. Closer inspection of my log shows that the second power supply keeps switching between on and off repeatedly. I also hear a small noise everytime this happens that might indicate a power surge. Is this possible due to the increased memory? Would the firmware update fix this or does the solution lie elsewhere? Any help would be deeply appreciated. Thanks!

Cjrbk,
I would certainly start with updating the servers BIOS, iDrac, Raid Controller, as well as Power supplies. If you go here and select Power, under the Category drop down set it to Power. See if there is an available download for your installed power supplies. A firmware discrepancy may cause this, but I would update the server and then run the diagnostics to see if anything is reported.
Let me know what you see.
