Fan upgrade. Any advice for PowerEdge T330?
Hello, Has anybody got any experience fitting an aftermarket fan to a T330? Wondered if Noctua may have a model that would offer similar performance, but with a lower sound db level.
All suggestions welcome, thanks

Hello,
This is a question we'd have to leave to the community. There's not anything I could recommend, unfortunately. All of the fans I've seen for our rack and tower servers and workstations have been pretty high output, but also capable of making quite a bit of noise.
I took a look at Noctua's page, and it looks like their fans are all rated for 2000 to 3000 RPM. I've seen our fans spin faster, so I'd hesitate to use one. By no means am I saying anything negative about Noctua, I have some of their equipment in my home PC and it's been great, I would just hesitate to use an unvalidated cooling solution for something that may be business critical.
That having been said, I did take a look at our fans for comparison. Ours are 120mmx38mm and run at 12v. The image that I'm looking at makes it look like they have a 4 pin connector. Noctua's fans look like they're thinner than ours (25mm), so you may need to account for that offset.
Let me know if there's anything else I can help dig into.

I'm looking for replacement also, it's too loud, I have checked Noctua website and I found Noctua NF-F12 iPPC 3000 PWM, their airflow is similar but I'm not sure it will work or not.

@saeedb3r I kept the original fan and added a PWM speed regulator / controller to lower the max speed (hence noise)
