Electricity cost for R710 servers with dual PSU's
I had a question about power usage on R710 rack servers. I'm running two R710's each with dual power supply units: 870w x 2 and 870w x 2
It's come to my attention this might be costing more than I anticipated each month. I setup Grafana to monitor one of them and grabbed a power dashboard that someone else created. I entered my electricity cost into the dashboard and come up with the following numbers. Does this seem accurate to you all?
I was thinking about only running one PSU in each rig but I am not sure that will actually save any money? Also, I have a few other servers I would like to spin up but I want to keep an eye on the electricity costs. If anyone has any input on this I would love to hear from you. Thanks!

Hi, there are multiple aspects to consider. Power usage depends on the number of HDDs , memory CPUs and etc. For example, does your fan run fast? You can lower the temperature of server location.
Have a great weekend!

It sounds like the fans run fast. I have never looked to adjust fan speed at all but the climate where the servers is located stays around 70 degrees.
