Dell R640 Manual Fan Speed
Hi is there any option that I can enable manual fan control for my Dell R640 that runs IDRAC 9 Enterprise FW: 7.0.x
since they are constantly running on 30% of fan speed and since it’s located in my living room due I use it as a home lab.
It’s loud even if there is 0 load on the system.

Hello, to have fans running at 0% you have to power it off.
0 production load does not mean that system doesn't require of cooling.
Rack server are not designed to be used in the office, It is better that you get tower servers.

Sound Cap - Sound Cap provides reduced acoustical output from a server at the expense of some performance. Enabling Sound Cap may include temporary deployment or evaluation of a server in an occupied space, but it should not be used during benchmarking or performance sensitive applications.
