Can NTCWP PSUs from R720 servers be used in R720XD and R730 servers?

We have 3 Dell PowerEdge servers currently racked up, one each R720, R720Xd and R730. The R720Xd and R730 are currently active and the R720 is powered off and may never be used again.

The R720 has 1100 watt PSUs fitted, P/N NTCWP, and the R720XD has 750 watt PSUs fitted.

One of the PSUs in the R720XD has become faulty. Is is possible, or advisable to take the 1100 watt PSUs from the R720 and replace the 750 watt PSUs in the R720XD?

I am finding conflicting information as to if the NTCWP model PSUs are compatible with the R720XD or not. Given that there is a 1100 watt option for the R720XD available from Dell that has all 3 server models in the compatibility list that the server can support 1100 watt PSUs, howeve the part number is different.

My limited understanding suggests that as long as I power down the R720XD server and swap in both 1100 watt PSUs to avoid a mismatch that all should be fine.

Any service types out there with any advice?
