Are Dell slot PSU's generally pinout compatible?

Good morning,

Can anyone tell me wether or not dell slot PSU's (like the ones used on most servers and some workstations) are generally pinout compatible?

I'm asking because i have a precision T3600 workstation and want to upgrade the power supply. I could buy a 1200W powersupply from a T7600, but they are expensive and not available locally.

However, i can get similarly specced dell server PSU's locally for a fraction of the price. So i'm curious if that would be an option.

I'm aware the physical size of the PSU may not match the case. That doesn't scare me, i'm not afraid to do some case modding.
