active PFC dell optiplex 3090 mt?
my PSU is "260w 80 PLUS Bronze" and i want to know if it does have active PFC or not?
i contacted tecnoware support for my "ERA PLUS 1200" UPS and this is what they told me
"We ask you to kindly check the presence of PFC circuitry and/or 80PLUS certificate on the PCs in question. This data is highlighted by the presence of the 80 PLUS certificate on the power supply of the PC itself (assembled PCs, gaming, servers, workstations, Macs,..)
If this were the case, the power supply with PFC circuitry requires to be powered with a sinusoidal waveform while the UPS in question is a line-interactive product with a pseudo-sinusoidal waveform (square wave). The UPS goes into protection with a continuous acoustic signal.
It would therefore not be a product defect but an incompatibility between the UPS and the power supply.
You can send us the specifications of the power supply for checking."
"If the power supply has active PFC (80+) we can guarantee that it is not compatible with the ERA PLUS range for the reasons explained in the previous email.
for these applications the EXA PLUS range sinusoidal UPS is required"
