Partner access to Oracle
Hi Team - do we have partner level access to Oracle? If yes, how do I sign up for it? I really would like to leverage some material and training there.
Thanks!

To access Oracle Partner Network http://opn.oracle.com requires you register with your customer number (Please correct my if I'm wrong). I use the same password for Oracle Support (Metalink) and OPN.

Greetings, Everton!
I found this document, it's a little old so I'm not 100% certain it's still relevant (I'm going to give it a shot myself) but it covers a fair number of Oracle Partner resources and how to get access to them.
Give it a shot at http://one.emc.com/clearspace/docs/DOC-4391
Hope that helps.

Everton,
I just tried out the Oracle Partner Network (partner.oracle.com) and with the help of their online chat support was able to get in. The instructions I posted earlier are a little dated - the site has changed a bit. There's one additional piece of information that isn't in the documentation but if you reach out in Chat with the 12 digit access pin number in the tutorial you should be able to get it all set up.
I hesitate to put that extra number here 'cause it's a public forum. But Oracle's online chat will be able to help you out.
One other helpful hint. You absolutely need to use IE 7 or 8. It says you can use 6 but it didn't work for me.
Hope that helps.

Hi Rob - Thanks for the feedback. I went through the process this morning and as you said it does require you to contact their online chat to get the right information. Yes, IE 7 or 8; so it was a little bit of a challenge here on my side.
I still don't have access as it seems they need about 24 hours to grant you access. On the note I got they mentioned they would be contacting the "primary administrator" and I wonder if it is someone within EMC that will approve it or not. If yes; should I contact him/her just to make sure they give the thumbs up?
I know for other vendors; such as Cisco someone within the partner organization needs to approve access requests; not sure if it's the same case here.
Thanks!

I'm still waiting on my 24 hours as well. Whilst the admin does need to approve our "application" my understanding is that general "member" status is a pretty easy thing to get. I'll keep you posted on how that comes along.

Hi Rob - This morning I talked to the Partner Support Team at Oracle and they mentioned my requested was not yet approved by our admin and I asked who was it within EMC so I could just introduce myself to and check if they needed any additional information. He gave me a name and I send you directly as I am not sure if I can post here. Anyways I talked to the person and I already got a reply with approval. I haven't checked if it's already working but I think I am getting closer.

Just following up to make sure you're all set with connecting to the Oracle Partner Network. If you run into anything else please feel free to post it here.

Rob - Yes, everything is working fine. There's some great material there for sure, so really valuable to have access to it.

In the first instance I would contact Jennifer Peitzsch who, last time I looked, manages the OPN relationship.
