OPtiplex 790 support NVMe via PCIe X4
I put and Orico NVME M.2 Expansion card in a PCIx16 slot in my Dell Optiplex 790. The BIOS was A05 which I am in the process of upgrading to A22.
The BIOS did not see the NVME drive nor did OpenSUSE 15.6 installation tool.
Does the Optiplex 790 support the NVME drive in a PCI slot?
Thank you,
BRuce.

it was done on 7010 so 790 is possible too but no direct evidence

There are two options to make an NVMe drive bootable:
Both options work well, modifying the BIOS is a cleaner solution, but more risky.
