Optiplex 7070 7090 Ultra Monitor Stand Problem

I had posted on here before about a VESA adapter for the large monitor Pro2 Stand for the Optiplex Ultra 7070 or 7090. That was resolved, thanks again!

BUT a new dilemma has arisen. The 28" Samsung 4K monitor I attached to the Pro2 Stand is not heavy enough to keep the self-rising mechanism down. It wants to creep up to it's max height.

SO, I got the smaller Height Adjustable Stand (H.A.S.) which already has a VESA option for it. But NOW the problem is the the up/down swivel mount that attaches to the back of the monitor is too weak to keep it up, and it swivels (dives) down. I have taken it apart and I don't see any way to adjust the spring on the H.A.S. stand.

So, back to the large Pro2 Stand, is there a way to adjust the tension in the stand to have it not rise so easily?

I'd hate to have to replace the monitor, I'm quite fond of it.

Any references/advice appreciated.
