Optiplex 5270 AIO, will not connect to S2425HS
I have an OPtiplex 5270 AIO and just purchased a new Dell monitor S2425HS monitor.
I have tried an HDMI to displayport adapter as well as a straight cable HDMI on one side and displayport on the other and it still does not work.
Thank you for some help

Use a straight HDMI to HDMI cable. Connecting HDMI-out from the AIO to HDMI-in on the monitor.

Thank you for helping on this!
the issue with that is that the optiplex does not have an HDMI port but a displayport.

Optiplex 5270 AIO.
Optiplex 5270 AIO video out port = DisplayPort 1.2
S2425HS video in ports = HDMI 1/HDMI 2
In theory, a straight one direction DP to HDMI cable should work? Versus using converters.

Hah, just when I started to take AI information into research, it gave me the wrong result. Agree with Chris M, a DisplayPort to HDMI cable should work. OP may have tested with a faulty cable. Exchange it and test again.

@DELL-Chris M
Hi Chris and thank you. Yes the PC is the 5270 AIO - sorry about the typo.
The computer now recognizes the monitor but the monitor is blank/black
When I try to go to the settings on the PC it must be showing on the second monitor because I can't see anything on the PC. Even if I open a Chrome session, it must be going to the monitor
Thank you again,
Gloria
