looking for latest bios for Optiplex 9020 MT (and Optiplex 9010 MT) for WIndows XP

I recently found the bios download page for my 9020 but the drop down menu choices only went back to Windows 7.  Is there a separate bios upgrade for WinXP or  can I use the one for Win7.  And I remember it was difficult to find, could someone  post the  link or the section it was in,

BIOS has nothing to do with Operating system version such as XP, vista, 7 etc.

It is the same bios for all Operating system.

It checks and sets machine firmware on power on in the pre-boot stage before any OS is loaded from boot drive.

@redxps630 That makes sense. But why does  the Dell support website require me  to  chose an OS from the  dropdown menu...which doesn't  have  a Windows XP choice.   By what  you've  said,I could chose any OS  and  I would get the  same download...but  I'm  still wondering  why?

BIOS has a distinct by itself drop down selection under Operating System on the Dell driver website

although you can also find the bios among the list of drivers for each supported OS
