HDMI sound driver issues 7090 vs 3440
So I had a 3440 , motherboard died (during BIOS update:( ) everything worked fine before.
I got a used 7090 board. Mostly the same. Different chipset.
I put in the 3440 tag as I didn't have one for the 7090 and mostly worked but the HDMI was not putting sound to my tv. Dell assist probably thought it's a 3440.
Anyway, I grabbed and older win10 saved partition , from 2years ago, handloaded chipset and a few other drivers, plus Adrenalin and the sound works.
So I know there is no problem with card (RX6400) or tv setting.
Back to the original partition, I deleted the AMD drivers and reinstalled it but simply windows just don't see the device. (sad is that only monitors recognized) it's a 48" tv that it recognises otherwise (sony *30 what ever that means) 120hz etc. but not the sound.
Compared System devices, they all seem the same. (didn't look at dates and versions just the list)
Randomly uninstalled some devices (sound etc) in device manager to see if that helps. no.
I wish I could delete all Dell drivers but there no way to do it.
Any though ?
There are a few unrecognized devices. Not sure what they are.
