Dell Data Security critical update - what is this?

Dell sent me an email requesting I install the Dell Encryption application. I had not heard of this before. Is it already on my Optiplex 3020? Do I need to install this? When I ran the installer, it displayed a box asking for information about a "fully qualified host name of the managing On-Prem Dell Server". I cancelled the installation.

Can someone explain if this is necessary?
