Considering Upgrading Optiplex 7050

I have been receiving this message from pc health check. " The processor currently isnt supported for Windows 11". I have looked into reliable workarounds and haven't found any. Since this computer is somewhat new, I want to avoid buying a different one. Would I be able to upgrade the cpu on my optiplex for cheap? I have 2 computers, one with a 6700(HP) and 7700,
that I would like to upgrade to windows 11. Thanks

If you're looking for official Windows 11 support - no.  And there are signs Microsoft will soon raise the CPU floor to an 11th gen CPU before too long.

If you want official Windows 11 support, it's new(er) system time.

Your OptiPlex 7050 can support 6th gen and 7th gen processors, while MS set 8th gen processors as minimum requirement for officially support Windows 11.

If you want to upgrade to Windows 11, search for how to upgrade Windows 11 on unsupported hardware and you will find there are many ways to do it.  Select the process that you feel comfortable with and proceed with upgrading.

Performing a clean install of Windows 11 is a lot easier than doing upgrade.
