Are the OEM SATA splitters (0N701D/ N701D) safe? Optiplex 3020 SFF

Hello all, I am looking to use a SATA splitter to add an ssd to my optiplex 3020 SFF. It only has a SATA and slimline 5 pin SATA power connector though, so I settled on using a SATA splitter.

This led to an incredible rabbit hole that led me to the understanding that molded SATA splitters and cables should be avoide, and crimped ones to be favored, but...the OEM Dell Foxconn made SATA splitters are molded. I can't understand why something so notorious for being a fire risk would be allowed  but people still insist such cables are fire hazards. Maybe they are or aren't in this case, I don't know.

The specific model is the 0N701D or N701D, and I have heard it was sold for precision desktops for some time:

I would like to know whether the fear of molded SATA cables is justified in this case, and whether it would be safe to use them as well. I am not aware of PCs that were offered with such cables setting on fire but that seems to be the general idea the internet gives. Would be great to have this cleared.
