Upgrade from 5.3.0.2443 to 5.3.1.2505 fail (locked out)

Yesterday I attempted to update to 5.3.1.2505 and it seems to have halfway bricked my installation.

When I try to go to the URL of the OMIVV box, I am prompted for password. I enter the password I have documented, and I'm given the invalid credentials error.

I go to the console of the VM, and I'm able to login as admin with the same credentials. When I try "Change Admin Password" it sells me "Entered current password is incorrect. Please try again".

I'm not sure what to do next....

Is there a way to recover or force the password to reset via command line / putty?

Hello RinMatt,

 

I would start with Clear browser cache : Once the appliance upgrade is complete, ensure that you clear the browser cache before logging in to the OMIVV Administration Console.

 

If it is not resolved then try these:

  • Try a different browser
  • Try connecting from a different workstation
  • Have you tried using both FQDN and IP?
