Remediation of System Profile in OMIVV (BIOS, iDrac settings etc)
Good evening,
Is it still the case that the System Profile settings cannot be remediated through OMIVV/vCenter?
Do you still need to remediate the differences between hosts using OpenManage Enterprise web interface and then check them again within vCenter?
OMIVV: Current Virtual Appliance Version 5.2.0.2287
Hosts: Dell PowerEdge R740xd running vSAN
VMware ESXi, 7.0.1, 17119627
VMware vCenter Server 7.0.1.00100 Build number 17004997
Thanks!

Hello @firefoxchris ,
That is still a limitation in OMIVV. Remediation of System Profile drift has to be done outside of OMIVV.
Thanks,

Hi @Vikram_KV . Thank you for clarifying. Presumably this would need to be done manually on the host's iDRAC or through a configuration profile remidation within Dell OpenManage Enterprise?
Are there any plans in the near future to include this functionality in OMIVV directly in VMware Lifecycle Manager?

@firefoxchris ,
You are right - remediation for the System Profile drift has to be done either from iDRAC console or through OpenManage Enterprise.
Remediation for System Profile drift is already part of the backlog, but not part of the ongoing release.
Thanks,
