OMIVV error 2000001 - NonAdmin-User in vSphere 6.5
Hi everybody
Appliance 4.1.0.1599
vCenter 6.5.0.120000
Everything works as expected with full Permissions (Admin/vCenter). But we have the need to configure different groups with restricted permissions in our vCenter. A user of this group get this errors, if he choose a ESXi hosts and it's summary page.
A group member should simple see the Host Health and the Host information. No firmware tasks etc are nessessary for this group. I have tried to grant the rights for Non-Adminuser as described in the manual document for version 4.1 (all Dell points in Permissions, CIM Interactions for Host,...) but the error still exists.
Cannot find informations about error 2000001.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Hi,
The appliance works and you are able to connect when you use an admin user? Make sure that you did the steps on page 13 as well http://topics-cdn.dell.com/pdf/openmanage-integration-vmware-vcenter-v4.1_users-guide_en-us.pdf

Hi,
OMIVV allows to register vCenter servers with vCenter administrator user's credentials or a non administrator user's credentials with the
necessary privileges.
Please follow http://topics-cdn.dell.com/pdf/openmanage-integration-vmware-vcenter-v4.1_users-guide_en-us.pdf from page 11 to page 13.
For vCenter 6.5 there are changes in name of the privileges - Kindly check the same.
For latest updates of OMIVV, kindly upgrade to latest version of OMIVV ( i.e., OMIVV 4.2 ).
Thanks,

Hi,
thanks for your answers. I checked this.
The connection/registration with the OMIVV was okay. There was no need to do a registration with non administrator user's credentials.
I tried a lot with the permission settings, because we want only grant the permission, which are really needed for this collegues. In this special case only the DELL informations should be shown and nothing more.
I found the minimum for this need (screenshot).
Thank you for your support!

PS: Is it normal, that my screenshots in this thread are only shown for logged in users?
