OMIVV Broken in vCenter 6.5U2

After upgrading to 6.5U2, OMIVV cannot update any hosts. When going to Manage --> Compliance --> vSphere Hosts, all hosts are now showing non-compliant. CSIOR, OMSA, SNMP Trap and WBEM Status all are unknown. IDRAC status is Compliant. Attempted to "Fix non-compliant vSphere Hosts" and nothing happens. Attempted manual reboot as well, and that didn't work.

Is there a fix for this?

Thanks!

Hi,

What version of OMIVV are you using? If it isn’t up to date, you may want to update it as well.

Looks like my update didn't post...

OMIVV is running 4.2.0.2258. OMSA is 9.1 on all hosts. IDRAC ISM is 3.2 on all hosts.

I spoke to Dell tech support and was told this was a known issue - an incompatibility with 6.5 U2. They said it would be fixed with OMIVV 4.3 in October, but it was recommended I post here as well.

I was just surprised I didn't find ANY information on this prior to upgrading to 6.5U2.

Hi,

OMIVV 4.3 will be released in the next 24 hours, which will fix this issue.

Best regards,
Andras

Hi, OMIVV 4.3 has released. Please find below link to download the same, https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverid=5FW49 Thanks, Kavyashree R

This update only partially fixed my issue.

All hosts will inventory in the OMIVV window and all connection tests pass.

In vCenter for the host it shows the health information in "OMIVV Host Health"

However, in vCenter under "OMIVV Host Information" it shows:

A Web server communication error occurred; wait a few moments for the communication to automatically reset. If the communication does not reset, check the appliance IP address setting to make sure it is on the network. If the appliance is on the network, perform a reboot. If the error still occurs, contact Technical Support.

I'm running iDRAC 2.60.60.60 (52) and VMware ESXi 6.5.0 build-10175896

After updating vCenter to latest revision from August and rebooting it I do now see the "OMIVV Host Information" and it seems to be working.

I was able to run the firmware update wizard successfully.  Looks like a winner.
