New OMIVV won't inventory hosts
I have 5 Dell blade servers M620 and M630. I've been running vCenter 6.5 Update 2b for around 3 weeks.
I have been able to use OMIVV 4.0 to do firmware updates on my blade servers, but recently started having problems collecting inventory after doing the latest round of firmware updates (BIOS, iDRAC and network cards). I decided to just unregister that OMIVV 4.0 appliance and download 4.2.0.2258 and start from scratch with a new appliance.
It passes the host connection tests for connecting to the iDRAC and also to the host, but won't collect inventory. It also shows the chassis service tag for all of the hosts.
Any suggestions for what to do to fix it?

iDRAC is 2.60.60.60 by the way.

In the log it also says that it's unable to connect to the iDRAC IP address when doing a manual inventory task despite the host connection test succeeding in the profile view.

For anyone finding this post on a search...
Just got off the phone with ProSupport. It's a known issue with 4.2 and ESXi 6.5u2.
They are working on a fix and plan to have it in place for OMIVV 4.3 in October.

Guessing this is the same issuse with 6.7 then

OMIVV 4.2 does not support 6.5U2 but supports 6.7. This is due to the release timelines of ESXi from VMware side and OMIVV 4.2 release timelines.
The latest OMIVV 4.3 release has officially introduced support for:
- VSphere 6.5U2
- VSphere 6.7U1.

Yes, this one works fine with my 6.5U2 install after making sure vCenter was up to date as well and restarting it.

Am I going to have to wait for the Fall update (mentioned in the release notes) before 6.7U2 will work? Right now basically nothing works other than WBEM compliance, but I can't inventory, do proactive HA, connect to iDRAC nor the root credentials - nothing really useful. I do have a 6.5U2 host that appears to work.
Logs say: "OMIVV failed to retrieve the iDRAC IP address. Please make sure that valid host credentials are given."
(they are valid).
