Incompatible iDRAC License

I have a Dell R810 that has an iDRAC 7 Enterprise license.  I had a problem with the Drac not working and had to reset the server to get it back and now when I click on the OpenManage Integration tab in my vCenter 5.5, I get the following error:

The OpenManage integration for VMware vCenter cannot manage this server because a compatible IDRAC license to support the hardware features is not present on the server.  The OpenManage integration for VMware Vcenter uses iDRAC with LifeCycle Controller for major features such as monitoring, firmware updates, and bare metal deployment.

Why is this happening all of a sudden?  I have had this server in production for quite some time now and have used OpenManage Integration before on this server before without any issues.

Can you still access the iDRAC through the web gui?

If you can acces the web GUI check if the iDRAC has the latest firmware version. The R810 has a iDRAC 6 and the latest version is 2.80. http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=9Y5XD

With the iDRAC 6 there is no license file in the iDRAC present, the difference between iDRAC Express and iDRAC Enterprise are hardware based. Only from iDRAC 7 did we introduce the iDRAC license file to unlock a Express to an Enterprise.

Sorry, I meant it is an R820.  The iDRAC 7 is running v1.66.65 which is the latest version I can find.

I can login to the iDRAC using the web GUI.  When I go to the Overview, Licenses, it states the server has a Perpetual license of iDRAC7 Enterprise License.

The latest version for iDRAC 7 is the 2.21.21.21 that can be found here: https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=VV01T

From the 2 version of the firmware it is a combined firmware image that includes the LifeCycle controller firmware. All downloads for the R820 can be found here: http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/product-support/product/poweredge-r820/drivers

Please update the iDRAC/LC and see if that resolves the issue.

I now seem to have the same issue on an R810 and R820 box, both updated to the latest iDRAC.  The R810 is running 2.80 (Build 03) and the R820 is running 2.21.21.21.

When the Dell Inventory Task runs, I get errors for both systems:

Inventory failed for host xxx.  iDRAC address is not usable.

I never had any issues with these systems before.  I am in the process up refreshing all the firmwares/drivers and ESXi version on all my systems and need to get these ones done too.

So no help from Dell?  What is wrong with these DRAC's?  I now have 2 servers (R810 and R820) that I cannot inventory.  Both systems fail with the error "iDRAC IP address is not usable"

I never had any issues before, until these DRAC's went offline.  I had to reset them and after that, I now cannot inventory them.
